A friend recently said to me that they were having a great challenge with finding a sense of significance in such a chaotic world. This will be the subject matter of this article today. Also, the true title should be “Finding Significance and Purpose in a seemingly chaotic world”, since we shape our own reality by how we choose to see the world. So in this case, the word “seemingly” is subjective to the individual.
Now without significance, one could start to feel not only overwhelmed but ultimately a sense of worthlessness. This feeling of worthlessness, if left unchecked could lead to deep depression and in extreme cases, suicide! This had indeed become some souls shocking reality and should be unacceptable to the rest of us in a world of potential joy and potential peace.
I certainly don’t want to come across as if this is an easy task, however I do intend to offer a breath of hope. In finding significance we must first seek out and come to realize our own intrinsic worth and value, which ultimately comes down to what we think and feel about ourselves, absent of others thoughts and feelings about us. By taking some time out of our schedules to meditate on this and to write down as many qualities that come to mind, places great power back into our own hands! In determining our own value and worth, we must be very careful of NOT comparing ourselves with others, for we are each different in our own rights. It’s important that we realize our own unique worth apart from anyone else, as we are designed ‘uniquely different’ for a very important purpose. Homogenization creates dullness in the world, so variety on the other hand creates diversity, assortment, multiplicity and excitement.
It helps to look at life in terms of ‘Purpose’, for everything and everyone does indeed have a unique ‘Purpose in Life’. In speaking of Purpose, I am reminded that there are at least 118 known elements in the Periodic Table of the Elements. It has been predicted that there will eventually 144 total elements finally discovered. The beauty in the elements is that each of them are distinct and different! If they were all the same, we would not be able to have created all of the vastness that we experience here on planet Earth. So it is the combining of these eventual 144 elements that gives us the variety that we experience in the world, in the form of many different molecules, compounds and combinations witch make up the totality of the beauty of planet Earth.
I like to compare this to what is known as human ‘archetypes’. In my research, I have concluded that there are also 144 archetypal personalities on the Earth. The word ‘archetype’ simply means a typical example of a certain type of person, personality or thing. When we combine the totality and the various combinations of these 144 archetypes, we end up with 7 billion plus unique personalities that all have something of significance to offer the world. Some examples of archetypes are: Seers, Artisans, Sages, Scholars, Warriors, Kings, Servants, etc. for a total of 144. My research also reveals that we exhibit a combination of at least 3 archetypes at any given time in our life, depending on the circumstances. Some are creator archetypes and some are shadow archetypes. The first reflects the positive, creative aspects of our inner self, or soul, the second reveal the negative or shadow aspects of our personalities
The key here is to understand your unique archetypal signature. As each person becomes aware of their own archetypal signature, then we can learn to harmonize the various combinations of archetypes and personalities (each with unique gifts and talents) to not only solve and provide for the many problems and needs of the world, but to create a harmonious civilization based in peace, abundance, joy, hope, and unconditional agape love.
So in closing we must be careful not to let those who have seized power or are attempting to seize power over the various mediums to be the dictators of who we are as a race of humans. We must come to realize our own significant worth and intrinsic value and remember that true leadership lies in the power of the people. Therefore when we realize and reclaim our power and work together, we will once again assert and command our own freedom as organizers of our communities, entrepreneurs, and truly powerful socially significant individuals, indivisible with liberty demanding justice for all.
